Also known as Whiskey Hill Raceway is one of our “away” locations.
The Track – Located in the hills of western Massachusetts, Palmer is a 2.3-mile-long roller coaster. While it doesn’t have the most vertical of any track in North America (190’ from the lowest to the highest point), it does have the most aggressive climbs and descents. Calling this track fun is an understatement of grand proportions.
Infrastructure – While the track itself is a incredible, Palmer is still building their infrastructure. They do have garages, but they are not included in the track rental, so you must reserve your own through their website. Additionally, there are no tables or furniture of any kind, so you’ll have to bring your own. The classroom is a short distance from those garages as are the showers and bathrooms.
Instructors and Parking – While we will pair you with an instructor, because of the nature of paddock layout we won’t assign you a specific place to set up. We’ll make sure you are connected with your instructor during the safety brief in the morning.
Fuel – Palmer has a tanker truck with 93 octane gas if you need to purchase gas there. It is not self-serve, so you’ll need to coordinate with the operations manager if you do. It’s not an issue, but it is different from other tracks.
Food – We have a local restaurant cater the lunch, and you’ll be given a card when you sign in as your “ticket” for lunch. They are set up for breakfast if you want to eat at the track.
Overnight – We don’t normally coordinate with the track for overnight camping, so you’ll have to connect with them directly if you are interested in staying in the paddock the night before the event.
